Jul 29, 2008Feb 09, 2010I did a T5 (non world class) to flattie swap for our roadster. We had a stock ''49 truck engine with the old 4 speed rock crusher tranny. Removed the tranny and we have the two piece bell housing. Got the Dwight Bond adapter, used the T5 front bearing retainer tube but had to very slightly elongate the four bolt holes and the baby bolted right up!

Oct 01, 2012I am building a decent horsepower Poncho 400. I am researching transmissions and located a couple that I would like. Found the old Muncie Rock Crusher, and read up about it. Found a Mopar A833, and read up on it. I want to keep a 4speed so that puts out the T56 plus I heard that Tremec will melt with that much torque
